Ottawa, On... CATAAlliance (www.cata.ca), a recognized champion of Canadian innovation and entrepreneurship, today announced that Brenda Pastorek, President and Chief Operating Office, Northforge Innovations Inc., has joined the CATA Innovation Leadership Council (ILC).
The ILC serves as an advisory body, providing guidance on the implementation of the CATAAlliance mandate to support the global competitiveness of its members and the advancement of Canada as a competitive Innovation Nation, in addition to offering a community peer network to assess share insights into needs, trends and achievements.
CATA CEO John Reid said “Ms. Pastorek brings a wealth of experience to the Council from her management roles with both large companies and start ups in multiple high tech sectors. Her passion for improving Canada’s labour markets is fully aligned with CATA’s CATA’s mission, mandate and core policy planks.”
According to Ms. Pastorek, “ Northforge Innovations is fully behind the CATA goal of cultivating Canada’s considerable strengths and eliminating every barrier to inhibiting their full contribution to competitiveness, a goal that is vital to realize the improvements that will let Canada rank amongst the highest performers as an innovation based economy.”
Reid concluded, “Supporting the entrepreneurial spirit is Canada’s best chance for economic progress and Ms. Pastorek is a great role model in this regard.”

As President and Chief Operating Officer of Northforge Innovations Inc., Brenda Pastorek is responsible for providing the leadership that enables the Company to stay at the leading edge of the cloud infrastructure technology. Brenda has been with the company since 2005 and has held various positions, most recently Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
