Join a group of your colleagues on Tuesday, December 6th beginning at 1 pm EST  for a CATA Teleforum Conference Call Round Table with an expert team from Shared Services Canada and related Ministries, who will engage participants in a review and discussion of:

  • SSC's mandate and initial plans;
  • Balancing the need to reduce costs (i.e., a more effective GOC technology platform) with spurring innovation (Jenkins report); and,
  • Sourcing models and procurement issues, such as prescriptive RFPs versus solution based.

The briefing team from Shared Services Canada will comprise: Liseanne Forand, President, Grant Westcott, Chief Operating Officer, Benoit Long, Senior Assistant Deputy Minister - Transformation, Service Strategy and Design, Gina Rallis Senior Assistant Deputy Minister - Corporate Services, In addition  to Tom Ring, Assistant Deputy Minister, Acquisition Branch at PWGSC, and  Alain Beaudoin, Director General, ICT Branch, Industry Canada.

The Teleforum Conference Call (of particular interest to the IT sector)  is a uniquely interactive meeting of invitation-only executives who will also be invited to related venues to extend the information sharing, access to briefing material and encourage peer exchanges.

As a follow-up to the Teleforum with Shared Services Canada, and our engagement with them, executives will be invited to small group meetings with Shared Services officials to provide additional guidance on select issues and concerns.
