Canada’s CIOs Set to Drive the Digital Adoption Campaign: CATAAlliance, & ICTC Welcome Partnership with CIOCAN
November 27, 2013

Ottawa, November 27, 2013...CATAAlliance & ICTC announced today that Canada's top CIOs through its host organization, CIOCAN will endorse and help lead the Digital Adoption Campaign.

ICTC President and CEO & CATA Leadership Council Advisor,  Namir Anani welcomed the addition of the Campaign’s newest partner as a step forward in accelerating the adoption of digital technologies by Canadian enterprises. “CIOCAN is highly respected as a driver of change and well-positioned to champion solutions for multiple sectors of the Canadian economy. The addition of this channel to the Campaign will serve to greatly raise awareness about the contributions to productivity and innovation that digital technologies adoption can drive.”

CATAAlliance CEO, John Reid said, "CIOCAN represents IT Leaders across all industries, and are ideally positioned to take the Campaign's messages beyond the ICT industry - deep into the organizations of working IT executive leaders responsible for hiring so many technical staff, and for the procurement of so much hardware and software."

The Digital Adoption Campaign, a joint venture of CATAAlliance and ICTC addresses low uptake of mobile and other innovative technologies by Canadian enterprises by:

  • Raising awareness of the benefits and importance of adoption these technologies through widely disseminated leadership interviews;
  • Determining the right set of public policies to boost digital technology adoption with recommendations for enterprises and policy-makers to capitalize on opportunities and minimize costs and risks; and,
  • Developing community-based pilot projects to help share best practices across all sectors of the economy.
