Steven Woodward, CEO of Cloud Perspectives will serve as the CATA lead on the Shared Services Canada (SSC) Architecture Framework Advisory Committee

We are pleased to announce that Steven Woodward, CEO of Cloud Perspectives (see bio below) will serve as the CATA lead on the Shared Services Canada (SSC) Architecture Framework Advisory Committee. He will be assisted by an advisory group of CATA member experts from both large and small enterprises. The team will also tap into the collective the expertise of the Shared Services Forum (1000 members) for further thought counsel. 

The Architecture Framework Advisory Committee provides strategic advice and recommendations through SSC to the IT Infrastructure Roundtable (ITIR) in support of SSC’s transformation agenda. It also serves as a public-private sector consultative forum on enterprise architecture in support of SSC’s transformation initiatives.


Steven Woodward is CEO of Cloud Perspectives and a member of the National Institute of Standards for Technology (NIST) cloud computing working groups (under the US Department of Commerce), currently co-leading the cloud metrics subject area.  He is an International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Joint Collaboration Activity member under the United Nations helping define and align cloud computing telecommunication models.  He is a subject leader of the Cloud Standards Customer Council with the Object Modeling Group (OMG) and Cloud SLA metrics leader with the TM Forum where he is helping align metrics best practices with the International Software Measurement community where he is the conference and education director. 

Mr. Woodward has authored and lead cloud computing best practices and guides with: NIST, ITU-T, TM Forum, ISMA-IFPUG and the OMG.  Subject areas included: reference architecture, roles, brokers, resources, metrics, estimation, project management, sub-services, metering, costing, planning and governance.

He also wrote the chapter on “Cloud Computing Solution Measurement” published in the book “The IFPUG Guide to IT and Software Measurement” by CRC Press Taylor & Francis Group in 2012.

Mr. Woodward was formerly employed by the Federal Government of Canada (PWGSC) for 14 years and has been an international ICT management consultant for 16 years, working with the private and public sector to clarify and plan advanced ICT projects.
