Thirty First Responders Ready to Meet Public Safety and Security Executives at the Atlantic Canada First Responder Vendor Outreach (VOF) Forum

++ Action Item: Confirm your participation today as we will soon close out registrations

With over 30 first responder and public safety and security representatives alone registered to participate at the third annual First Responder Vendor Outreach Forum, this year’s event in Halifax promises to be one of the most critical yet in terms of bridging the gap between Canada’s frontline emergency responders and the technology vendors who seek to collaborate with them.

The Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance), along with our partners the Canadian Police Research Centre (CPRC) and the Canadian Interoperability Technology Interest Group (CITIG) started these Forums as a means to bring North American ICT companies together with Canada’s First Responders, and through this engagement, to shape the direction of industry R&D, address current issues through cooperative action, and commence developing a Technology Roadmap for Canadian First Responders.

As demonstrated by the calibre of the individual participants identified below, the Atlantic Canada forum will provide a powerful platform for expanding on the learnings developed in the previous Calgary and Toronto forums.

"We are tremendously pleased with the overwhelmingly strong and positive response the forums have generated among the first responder and public safety communities in Canada," says Kevin Wennekes, CATA VP. "It validates our belief that these communities realize the benefits that exist in meeting with the vendor community and through this open and transparent process, create opportunities for collaboration not only among industry partners, but also among their peers as they come to realize their shared challenges, obstacles, and opportunities as resulting through the unique approach used at these Forums."

The Atlantic Canada VOF takes place September 28 and 29 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and there are only limited sponsorship and registration options still remaining. Two national conference calls outlining the benefits of sponsoring the Forum will be held this week. To participate, please contact Emily Boucher by before Wednesday at 11 a.m. EST.

For those who wish to attend the conference only, please use this link register (only an approximate dozen spots remain):
