Thanks to the generous philanthropy of RIM co-founder Mike Lazaridis, and the support of the Government of Ontario, the School of Business and Economics (SBE) at Wilfrid Laurier University has established the Lazaridis Institute for the Management of Technology Enterprises to support the management training needs of technology executives and companies in the Region and across Canada.

This will be a world-class institution providing management training and research to support the growth needs of the Region's and Canada's technology industry. It will focus on providing management upgrading for the current generation of technology executives as well as program and curriculum development to produce the next generation of Canadian technology leaders.

In order to do so successfully, the launch team for the Lazaridis Institute has partnered with CATA to implement a survey of CATA's membership and stakeholders to surface insights and ideas on the challenges facing Canadian technology companies, in particular as it relates to the availability and quality of Canadian technology managers and executives.
