Ottawa, July 30, 2014 - The Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance) is pleased to announce that SOFTEL Communications has become its latest corporate member and joins list of companies supporting CATA’s mHealth Initiative.
CATAAlliance CEO, John Reid, said, “We share SOFTEL’s vision that an improved communication experience will help healthcare professionals more efficiently provide higher quality patient care”. CATA launched its mobile health advisory board with a view to drive adoption of mHealth solutions in Canada. “We believe we can achieve better patient outcomes at a lower cost by utilizing mHealth to its full potential”, Reid added.
SOFTEL leverages its Microsoft Lync expertise to bring telemedicine solutions to healthcare. Driven in part by a shortage of healthcare specialists outside of major metropolitan areas, more organizations are looking to telemedicine to deliver quality patient care across the country. Beyond telemedicine, SOFTEL delivers solutions to provide staffs with a single unified communication experience that encompasses all their forms of communication including email, instant messaging, video conferencing, web conferencing, audio conferencing, as well as audio, desktop and mobile devices.
