Nova Scotia Premier, Darrell Dexter, has joined the i-CANADA Council of Governors as Champion of ´i-Province Innovation´:
Nova Scotia Premier, Darrell Dexter, has signed on to support i-CANADA as the Champion of i-Province Innovation in i-CANADA's Governing Council, joining his New Brunswick counterpart, Premier David Alward, along with other Provincial Premiers, business leaders, and community stakeholders across the country in developing the "Intelligent Nation."
Entrepreneur pitches vision of connected province: i-CANADA & CATA Leadership and Vision:
New Brunswick's cities can be transformed by tapping into the power of going mobile, an ICT entrepreneur told the Telegraph-Journal at an editorial board meeting. "We're seeing a bit of a convergence going on between mobility, sustainability and green IT, said Gary Stairs, principal at Stellar Learning Strategies and newly appointed member of the Council of Governors with the i-Canada Alliance.
Tighten Eastern U.S.-Canada Ties To Speed Innovation, Proposes Advanced Technology Sector:
U.S.-Canada Conference hears about i-CANADA program from CATA, IBM, ICF: John Reid, President of Canada's largest high-tech organization, advised delegates at the South East U.S. - Canadian Provinces (SEUS) conference in Fredericton today that industry research showed that the closer the networking within a community, the faster the rate of innovation. Mr. Reid stated that research by the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA) has found that the tighter the social and technology networks are within a community, the faster the companies and organizations within the community are able to innovate. Mr. Reid was moderating a panel on "Defining the Next Version of Innovation" at the SEUS event.
