The Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs Annual Conference: Bridging the Vendor Divide - National Teleforum to Discuss Unique Access Opportunities for Business Leaders
May 12, 2014

Join CATAAlliance VP Kevin Wennekes as he hosts a national teleconference discussion with John-Paul Cody-Cox, Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC), and Chief Paul Boissonneault, First Vice President of the CAFC and Fire Chief & CEMC, County of Brant, as they discuss the upcoming annual Fire-Rescue Canada Conference taking place in Ottawa from September 14 - 17, 2014.

In furthering their long history of collaboration together, the CATAAlliance and the CAFC are pleased to announce the addition of CATAAlliance’s unique Executive Boardroom series to this year’s Conference. These “Dragon’s Den” sessions are a proven means of enhancing the conversation between responders and the vendors who seek to serve them, and this year’s conference will see the addition of six of these exclusive opportunities for vendors to secure a private audience with approximately 30 Fire Chiefs.

“I attended these Boardroom sessions at last year’s Forum and found them to be both informative and a valuable use of my time,” explains Chief Boissonneault. “Not only did I have an opportunity to learn about the latest and greatest innovations, but was also able to question the vendors directly and provide critical feedback and insights into the product’s ability to meet the Fire community’s needs. Further, as I was among my peers, I also came to understand we shared similar needs and concerns which allowed us to discuss potential shared solutions.”

Taking place on June 2 at 2 PM EST, the one-hour teleforum will offer participants an overview of this year’s conference: the CAFC’s annual four-day event attracts leading authorities and vendors from all sectors of the Fire & Emergency Services community. This year's theme – Taking Care of Business – will include topics such as inclusion, respectful workplace, mental health both in the community and fire service, fire literacy, social media and many more that will give fire service leaders the tools and resources to make change.
