April 13, 2014
In just over two weeks, on April 29, CATAAlliance will hold its inaugural Mobile Health Roundtable featuring leaders from notable organizations including Adobe, Bayer, Algonquin College, CGI, Health Canada, the City of Ottawa, the Ottawa Heart Institute, TELUS Health and the University of New Brunswick. The day long discussion will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to identify barriers preventing the adoption of mobile technology in healthcare and develop an action plan to enable technology adoption to drive positive patient outcomes while finding cost efficiencies for the healthcare system.
Participants will share in the learnings from successful implementations of technology, including electronic health records, and they will hear first hand from innovators of exciting Canadian mobile health solutions. Particular attention will be paid to extending care into the community using mobile technology, mobile medical app certification and regulation, and driving adoption by selling into the public healthcare system. The roundtable will take place through the generous sponsorship of Adobe, TELUS Health and Wesley Clover; and with the support of the Canadian Interoperability Technology Interest Group. The Roundtable is part of a broader Mobile Health initiative which CATA launched last fall. ++ Action Item: For more information and to register, please visit: http://www.cata.ca/Communities/MHAB/events/
