i-CANADA SUMMIT: The Seven Habits of Highly Intelligent Communities
April 3, 2013

The leaders that created the world's top "Intelligent Communities" will share their best practices in a joint SUMMIT being held by i-CANADA and the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF). Starting with the i-CANADA SUMMIT at Waterfront Toronto June 3-4, Canadian and international successes will show how:

  • Leaders of top cities use intelligent applications to re-think community sustainability;
  • Analytics revolutionize health, transport, and utilities;
  • Public programs mesh with private-sector strengths for social inclusion and economic growth; and
  • Canadian regions become super-centres with coordinated programs through BCNET, CANARIE, CYBERA, and ORION.

The program re-convenes in New York at the ICF "SUMMIT 13" June 5-7. This companion ICF Summit features keynote speeches, interactive discussions and community case studies through two and a half intensive days, including a Master Class, Plenary session and the Intelligent Community Awards. Networking and award events create an intimate atmosphere where relationships are forged and new ideas arise.

The two events can be attended separately but together they feature an unparalleled gathering of mayors, chief administrative officers, chief information officers and economic development officers from cities, states and regions around the world. There are unique opportunities to learn from the world's most dynamic communities on how to effectively use information and communications technology to build prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable communities.
