CATA-Wuxi Business Portal to China
First Major Contract Signed — Next Delegate Mission Announced

André Bouchard, VP Business Development, IFCS, shakes hands with Golden Qiu Lang, CTO, Longkey Inc., after signing a contract worth $2.5 Million CDN through the CATA-Wuxi Business Portal. John Kelly, Chairman, CATAAlliance, looks on.

IFCS, a Quebec-based firm specialized in analysis, modeling, design, implementation and customization of IT solutions for asset management, is the first Canadian company to sign a deal through the CATA-Wuxi Business Portal. The deal, worth an estimated $2.5 Million CDN, is the first of many anticipated to be announced through this innovative international business channel aimed to generate over $200 Million in trade and investment over the next three years.

"Our company signed a significant software development and commercial collaboration agreement through the CATA Portal with Longkey Inc. that will ultimately help us solve the enormous challenges we were facing in ever increasing software maintenance and development costs, and allow us to better focus on developing innovative solutions at home in order to remain, collectively, ahead of our international competition," says André Bouchard, V.P. Business Development for IFCS.

"We are extremely confident that Longkey's North American experienced team has demonstrated their ability to produce international quality software, have the ability to aggressively protect our technological and commercial confidentiality, and proactively help us expand our markets into the Country," says Mr. Bouchard. "But most importantly, it is clear that CATA and Longkey have the unconditional support of China's local and regional governments towards ensuring the ultimate success of this project through the business portal."

"CATA is tremendously pleased that IFCS has chosen to embark on its China strategy through the portal agreement," says Kevin Wennekes, CATA's VP Research and Canadian Executive Champion for China. "We commend their forward-thinking decision to become the first of what we anticipate will be a long list of companies with interests in China who will want to similarly take advantage of the unique incentives and programs being offered through our Portal opportunity."

IFCS was a participant in CATA's first mission to Wuxi in September 2008 and met again with visiting delegates in Toronto, where the deal was formally signed.

"Our ability to travel to Wuxi was a critical factor in helping us to arrive at our final decision," says Mr. Bouchard. "We were able to inspect the CATA-Longkey facilities, meet the executive teams, and sit down with key government officials. We established important relationships which we were then able to continue here in Canada through the CATA portal."

CATA is pleased to announce the next mission to Wuxi will be taking place the week of May 11th.

Any company with an interest in marketing into and/or sourcing to China, regardless of what stage they are in the development or execution of their China strategy, must consider completing a profile and learning how the Portal can best assist them.

A maximum of eight companies is being selected for the delegation departing in May, and only a handful of places remain. In order to apply for one of the limited spots, companies must complete an online profile by Friday, April 3.

More information on completing your online profile can be found here:
