February 27, 2007

Gartner Outsourcing Summit

CATAAlliance has coordinated the launch of the first-ever Canadian Country Pavilion to take place at a Gartner Outsourcing Summit, with this year's Summit taking place in Dallas, Texas from March 19-21.

The Pavilion consists of the following groups:

Canada A Strategic Choice

Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency     Business New Brunswick    CATAAlliance
Nearshore Atlantic    Nova Scotia Business Inc.    Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade    Sierra Atlantic

"This is a very encouraging result for the inaugural launch," says Kevin Wennekes, VP Research for CATAAlliance and the driving force behind the Pavilion's creation. "We have an excellent mix of Federal and Provincial Government representation, combined with strong private sector backing. The next Canadian Pavilion planned for the IT Symposium in Orlando this Fall will be even larger still, with commitments from other government and private sector interests already secured."

Special Discount for Canadian Company Delegates
CATAAlliance is pleased to announce that its collaboration with Gartner has further resulted in the creation of an exclusive offer allowing Canadian delegates to save $200 USD discount off the regular registration fee for the Summit. To learn more on this offer, and how to redeem it, click here.

Limited Space Available
There is very limited space still available for the Canadian Pavilion in Dallas. Along with the opportunity of promoting Canada as a sourcing destination of choice among respected colleagues, Pavilion residents receive over $70,000USD in extras for an investment of about 1/5 the return, including multiple Boardroom presentations and free full-access conference passes. Note that private sector candidates are subject to Gartner approval.

Advantage Canada Summits
The Canadian Pavilion is the result of a unique CATAAlliance/Gartner partnership which builds on the recent Advantage Canada Summit in Halifax. The Summit was a full-day event that brought together a Pan-Canadian assembly of recognized public, private, academic and labour leaders to develop a Canadian Brand: a defining statement that clearly describes Canada's value proposition as a global sourcing destination of choice and differentiates the Country from competing Nations. Similar Summits are being planned to take place across the Country for later this Spring, with more details to be released in the coming days.
