Deloitte & Touche awards for SME, and MNE leaders to be given at CATA Innovation Awards Gala

OTTAWA, January 23, 2008 - CATAAlliance, Canada's largest high technology association announced today the creation of a new Deloitte & Touche Chief Information Officers (CIO) Leadership Award.

The new Award will recognize CIOs, or those in equivalent positions, who have shown excellence in managing their organization's enterprise-wide information systems, yielding the greatest returns to their enterprises. Winners will be selected for two categories: SME business (under 150 employees), and large corporations (more than 150 employees).

Finalists and award recipients will be chosen by a selection committee comprising experts drawn from the CIO Association of Canada, CATAAlliance and Deloitte & Touche.

These initiatives help to reinforce the role of advanced technology in stimulating Canada's business growth and productivity. The Deloitte & Touche CIO Leadership Award will be presented on June 10th in Ottawa at the CATAAlliance's Annual Innovation Awards Gala Dinner, a 23 year tradition of recognizing outstanding technological innovation and corporate leadership in expanding the frontiers of Canada's advanced technology industries. CTV Host, Paul Brent will be returning as the guest MC and moderator of a stellar CEO Panel of High Tech business leaders focusing on the keys to world class success.
