Lianna McDonald
Executive Director, Canadian Centre for Child Protection

Lianna McDonald is the Executive Director of The Canadian Centre for Child Protection. The Centre assists in the location of missing and sexually exploited children, provides education programs on child personal safety, and develops awareness on issues surrounding child victimization.

Over the past fifteen years, Lianna has worked closely with all levels of government, law enforcement, educators and the private sector to advocate for the safety of Canadian children. She’s worked with Attorneys General across the country to establish what is now Canada’s luring legislation and oversaw the development and implementation of – Canada’s tipline for the public reporting of online child sexual exploitation as part of Government of Canada’s National Strategy for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation on the Internet. She also spearheaded the development of Kids in the Know and Commit to Kids, national education programs on child personal safety and sexual abuse and exploitation.
