CanWIT (Women in Tech) Takes on a New Executive in Residence to Help Drive ‘Sara Kirke’ Agenda & Educational Excellence

Ottawa, ON...CanWIT (Women in Tech), a division of CATAAlliance, announced today that community leader, Rima Aristocrat has joined the CanWIT team as its newest EiR (Executive in Residence) with a mandate to advance ‘Sara Kirke’ women in tech leadership as well as educational training through certifications and degrees for today’s labour market.

CATA CanWIT recently announced the formation of a powerful ‘Sara Kirke’ Women in Tech Caucus, comprising the past winners of the Sara Kirke Award for women entrepreneurship and other award winner women leaders in tech entrepreneurship. Read full details.

Rima Aristocrat has served as president of Canada’s longest established career college, Willis College, for 31 years where her focus was on helping graduates transition into careers in business, health care, technology and clean energy.

A concert pianist, Ms. Aristocrat earned a Masters in Education and Harmonize Education. She remains updated in her field through affiliations with Industry, the Business & Professional Women’s Group, International Student Exchange, The Smiths Falls Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) Council, Willis Talent, Willis International, TeKnoWave Inc., the National Association of Career Colleges and Ontario Career Colleges. She also serves as an honorary chair of Immigrant Women Services.

Ms. Aristocrat said, “We should focus on taking care of mother earth, protecting the environment and making education the key. I simply want to make a difference in people’s lives and help others realize their dreams.”
