OTTAWA – The 2019 award winners were announced at the 34th Annual CATAAlliance Innovation and Leadership Awards Gala Dinner, which took place on May 15 in Ottawa. Each of the 10 recipients were celebrated for their innovation, expertise and leadership in Canada’s technology sector.
The Gala featured keynotes by Ohad Arazi, Chief Strategy Officer and Vice President, TELUS Health and Shurjeel Choudhri MD FRCPC, SVP and Head, Medical & Scientific Affairs, Bayer Inc., who took the stage to spotlight major trends in digital health care and what they mean for the well being of all citizens.
The Gala audience also heard special briefings from the RCMP on the lead work CATA is undertaking in the area of public safety, cybercrime and cyber security and from Mindbridge Ai on the role of Ai in advancing Canada’s global tech leadership.
Following CATA’s passion for 4.0 digital adoption, the Gala was broadcast livestream and the winners were announced via Twitter and broadcast simultaneously on key social networks. Innovation Gala delegates were asked to become CNN-like live TV reporters by using social media streams to help tell innovation leadership stories to the world. The CATA outreach is more than three million viewers.
