Reid added, ” This Caucus of 1,300 will continue to grow as we get more executives willing to sign on and join CATA’s efforts to get the attention of policy makers on what really needs to change if we want be competitive and innovative. Statistics Canada reported that Canada’s GDP in the last quarter of 2018 shrunk to just 0.4 percent compared to 2 percent in the third quarter. In addition, investment in machinery dropped almost 5 percent in the final quarter, the second quarterly decline. That is not the track record of a competitive innovation nation.”
