Ottawa, ON...CATAAlliance, Canada’s One Voice for Innovation lobby group and ‘political party’ for Canada’s tech industry has announced that its E-Petition pilot project has reached its target of creating a Caucus of 1,300 Executives who will act as Advocates-for-Change. They can be instantly mobilized to reach out to decision makers at all levels, in order to advance CATA’S advocacy campaigns.
CATA CEO John Reid said, “ We have worked at CATA’s 4.0 business transformation, embracing a full suite of digital and Ai resources. We are now deploying these resources to advance Canada’s innovation and competitiveness rankings, and to help address specific business growth issues identified through crowdsourcing and guidance from our Board members and now our Caucus of Executives. ”
Advocate-for-Change enables companies to leverage multiple social media sites, targeted email lists, RSS feeds in Canada and across the globe and Mobilization of the new CATA Caucus, with E-Petitions, Op-Eds, Legislative Briefs, Surveys, and advocacy Video Commentaries.
Reid added, ” This Caucus of 1,300 will continue to grow as we get more executives willing to sign on and join CATA’s efforts to get the attention of policy makers on what really needs to change if we want be competitive and innovative. Statistics Canada reported that Canada’s GDP in the last quarter of 2018 shrunk to just 0.4 percent compared to 2 percent in the third quarter. In addition, investment in machinery dropped almost 5 percent in the final quarter, the second quarterly decline. That is not the track record of a competitive innovation nation.”
