Canada’s Procurement Ombudsman releases insightful Report: CATA Advocacy Alert!

Three Key Procurement Issues

  • Capacity: The impact that a lack of procurement capacity has had on federal organizations, and on suppliers trying to do business with them.
  • Standing Offers: There are no guarantees of revenue for suppliers even once they have qualified on federal standing offers.
  • Simpler procurement: Federal procurement documents need to be clear and simple enough for suppliers to respond to, yet sufficiently detailed and precise to lay out federal organizations’ expectations.
