Join Canadian First Responders in China
September 24, 2009
The Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA) is pleased to announce that President Bruce Burrell of the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs
(CAFC) will be leading a delegation of Canadian companies to the China Public Safety and Security Expo
(CPSE) this November.
President Burrell will be providing a keynote address at the CPSE, and the China organizers are hosting a special Canadian First Responders Solutions and Advanced Security Technologies Forum
, where Chinese First Responders, government and industry leaders will meet with the Canadian delegation towards discovering the unique and similar challenges facing their respective nation’s front line public safety and security providers.
“I am honoured to be able to represent Canadian First Responders in China and look forward to promoting international knowledge exchanges and collaborations for the purposes of creating safer working and living environments in both our nations,” explains Mr. Burrell. “I also look forward to helping open the doors to the China First Responder community for the innovative technologies being offered by the Canadian companies taking part in this mission.”
Also joining the delegation is Retired Chief and Executive Director of the CAFC, Don Warden, who will be joined by CATA’s VP Research, Kevin Wennekes.
Through CATA’s successful application for government funding, Pavilion delegates will enjoy access to a dynamic tradeshow experience and match-making services at only half the cost, and with full support services provided both in Canada and in China. A limited number of $1,400 travel and accommodation subsidies also still remain.
Finally, companies who join the CPSE Pavilion will also receive a complimentary sponsorship (valued at $10,000) of a study CATA is undertaking in China on First Responders technology adoption and use – similar to CATA’s groundbreaking Keeping Canadians Safe
Canadian companies providing products or services to Canadian First Responders or the Public Safety and Security sector and seeking to expand into the rapidly developing China market should register right away!
