CPRC and CATA announce the launch of their upcoming First Responder Vendor Outreach Forum
This year’s First Responder Vendor Outreach Forum promises an interactive environment where ICT vendors will get the rare opportunity to meet exclusively with leaders from Canada’s First Responder and Public Safety and Security (PSS) community as the groups work towards ending Canada’s interoperability crisis and technology gap.
Building upon an extremely successful Forum in Toronto, 2008, CATA will host this year’s event on Oct. 21 to 22, 2009 at the Fairmont Palliser in Calgary. This unique Forum will once again feature Executive Boardroom meetings where ICT vendors will present their product/service solutions to a panel of local, national, and international First Responder procurement experts.
“Last year’s Forum served as a powerful and effective vehicle for bringing vendors and First Responders together for a rich exchange of intelligence,” says Lance Valcour, Program Manager for the Canadian Interoperability Interest Group (CITIG). “ICT vendors looking to provide products and services to the Public Safety and Security community in Canada must attend this year’s Forum in Calgary.”
Running concurrently with the Executive Boardrooms will be Plenary Sessions where First Responder/PSS knowledge leaders will present their interoperability-related successes, challenges, and needs. The conference will conclude with what are anticipated to be a lively panel discussion and town hall session.
