A group of fifty thought leaders from the public and private sectors recently met for an Executive Roundtable called “INNOVATING GREEN GOVERNMENT – How new models of efficiency and streamlining are helping public sector leaders catalyze the shift to a green economy”.  One of the outcomes was a 19 page white paper authored by CATA’s Barry Gander that provides insight into problems and solutions  to reduce society’s environmental impact.

The Roundtable leaders divided the strategic approach to the discussion into three areas:

1.         Governance and Accountability
2.         IT: The Strategic Asset
3.         Leverage: Widening the Circle

A special presentation was also made on Best Practice: Ontario.  Roundtable executives tabled 18 recommendations for organizations to consider as part of their Green plan.
