Dear members

We have now completed a very extensive upgrade to CATA’s communication’s resources, including the ability for members to include their news in update-able, real time communiqués. Examples are included below:

A Special Note on Social Media & Communications Resources & Outreach for Audience Acquisition & Advocacy

CATAAlliance counts 22 thousand Twitter Followers, 14 thousand op in executives in moderated Linked in Groups, 5000 executives in the Google + CATA Circle, 31 thousand CATAnet TV video views, a 2 million executive audience on social media groups that CATA has permission to post to in Canada and major Global markets, and direct email databases of 15 thousand executives.

++ Action Item & Opportunity

Our communications system was specifically designed to enable members to bundle their innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship and success news in the outreach communiqués.

We can do this in real time as every communiqué is update-able.
Your only requirement is that your news (e.g., contract win, press/media interview, customer event, business success) is described at a URL.

Also, if needed, we can do a special posting of your news on the CATA web page and then access for posting.

Other CATA Updates include CGI joining our membership roster in September to help advance shared interest in advanced security, public safety & interoperability.

Bayer has put in for CATA membership approval to advance Digital Health Care Applications.

Regarding advocacy, Russ Roberts and team is putting together materials for the opposition parties that would serve as their election platform for 2015.

We also received a call from Minister Flaherty’s office to meet with his new Chief of Staff and key team members of their team, an opportunity to advance issues and concerns.

One final item regarding business services. Over the summer we have completed work with Underwriters to offer Group Benefits and related insurance designed specifically for Small to Mid sized technology companies (SMEs). It will be CATA branded and offer on an on line quote capability.

I hope you enjoy the last few weeks of summer, best regards.
