July 10, 2007 - CATAAlliance and GTEC will partner to raise the profile of small and mid sized companies, as well as companies with a public safety and security expertise at GTEC 2007. Under a theme of "Government 2.0", GTEC 2007 will explore a new age of innovation and collaboration through its internationally renowned conference, exhibition and awards Program.

The SME Pavilion at GTEC is a turnkey (display included) pavilion that is priced at almost half the cost of a regular display space at GTEC. The displays have a common look and feel and are positioned centrally within the exhibition to provide maximum exposure. The Public Safety and Security Pavilion is a traditional display area, near the Department of National Defence Pavilion, and designed to raise the profile of companies working with government departments on public safety ad security matters.

"The SME and Public Safety features are a natural fit for CATAAlliance members" said Kevin d'Entremont, Executive Director of GTEC and CATAAlliance Director. "CATAAlliance is a natural partner for both of these pavilions, given its work to develop funding for public safety and security research and its continued development of business opportunities for SMEs."

The GTEC 2007 Exhibition will feature approximately 300 exhibits at the Ottawa Congress Centre on October 16 and 17. Over 7000 visitors are expected to attend the exhibition, as part of GTEC Week. Exhibitors will benefit from a host of services at the Show, in addition to significant pre-event marketing and public relations activity.

According to John Reid, President and CEO of CATAAlliance "CATA’s Innovation Nation Campaign includes a strong commitment to better inform and assist Canadian businesses and governments in their participation in, and management of, corporate, public and national security issues. GTEC is an excellent platform to advance these interests and to profile Canadian capabilities to both domestic and international audiences."

Space in the Public Safety and Security Pavilion and the Small Business Showcase is limited. There are only 6 remaining spots in each exhibit feature. You are strongly encouraged to reserve your space today. CATAAlliance members who respond to the call for participation in the Public Safety and Security Pavilion will receive a 5% discount on their initial exhibit space.
