Ottawa, ON, Washington, DC…U.S. based, Springboard Enterprises and CanWIT(Women in Tech) are teaming up to invite candidate nominations for the Tech Innovation Hub, a diverse network of experts that helps women-led tech, digital health, device, caregiving, and health technology companies accelerate through an inflection point of growth.
According to Springboard Enterprises CEO, Amy Millman and CanWIT (Women in Tech) National Spokesperson, Cindy Gordon, “ Our shared goal is to mentor and, coach, showcase and support women-led growth companies seeking investment of financial and human capital for product development and expansion. We’ve assembled an all-star team of industry experts, influential business leaders, investors, and a peer network of entrepreneurs that we leverage to support each new class.”
A woman in senior leadership with a significant equity stake
A track record of milestone achievement (typically seed, Series A, B) which may include: grants, clients, revenue
A credible core management team or ability to attract one
Strategic alignment and potential to partner with corporate partners
Intent to raise capital in the next 12 months

Springboard accelerates the growth of entrepreneurial companies led by women through access to essential resources and a global community of experts. Since 2000, 627 Springboard portfolio companies seeking investment of financial and human capital for product development and expansion have raised $7.2 billion, created tens of thousands of new jobs, and generate billions of dollars in annual revenues. Over 80% of Springboard companies are growing as independent or merged entities, including 12 IPOs, more than 150 M&A, and many that are the technology engines of publicly traded companies.
Through its Tech Innovation Hub, Springboard invites a select group of women-led healthcare and technology companies annually into the network that are raising capital in the next 12-18 months to fuel growth.
CanWIT (Women in Tech) is a CATAAlliance initiative designed to promote mentorship, STEM disciplines, Innovation advocacy and successful women led enterprises in Canada.
CanWIT crowdsources ideas and guidance from thousands of opt in members in moderated social networks in Canada and key global markets.
Among its key programs are, the Sara Kirke Awards for recognizing women entrepreneurs, Social Groups for peer information exchange, Video Sharing Channels for sharing of best practices, Competitive Innovation nation advocacy and member events on topics of the day.
