Christian Coulombe, (left) Director of Marketing & Communications, Telfer School of Management pesents the Telfer School of Management Private Sector Innovation Leadership Award to Marcel Lebrun, CEO, Radian6(centre) with John Reid, CATAAlliance (Rt).
This award is presented to an individual from the private sector in recognition of outstanding technological innovation and corporate leadership which has significantly expanded the frontiers of Canada's advanced technology industry. The recipient must have demonstrated consistent innovation and leadership skills resulting in the creation and international acceptance of significant world-class products and/or the establishment and development of a major advanced technology company or companies that have withstood the test of time.
As Chief Executive Officer of Radian6, Marcel brings with him years of leadership with various technology start-ups. A serial entrepreneur, he has raised over $100 million in financing, completed an IPO on the Nasdaq and TSX, and headed up an acquisition by a publicly traded company. Founded in 2006, Radian6 was created with the idea that companies need to be listening to the social web in order to effectively participate. Intelligence about online conversations is critical: companies need to know what’s being said about their brand, industry, and competitors online. So Radian6 built a listening platform designed to help companies do just that. Cloud computing giant Salesforce recently acquired Radian6, a testament to the amazing work of Marcel Lebrun and his team.
As CEO, Radian6, Mr. Lebrun talks about the importance of buiding quality teams as a key success factor.
