Ontario Sales Tax Harmonization Alert: Teleforum Conference Call Briefing with Accounting Experts: Register Today
June 15, 2009

June 17, 2009

Join a group of your colleagues on Thursday, June 25th, beginning at 11 am to noon EST, for a CATA Teleforum Conference Call to discuss the harmonization of the Ontario retail sales tax with the federal Goods and Services Tax, announced by the Ontario Ministry of Finance in the recent Ontario budget.

With implementation about a year away (July 1, 2010), Ontario companies (or companies selling to the province) will need to start considering what changes will be required to comply with the new rules and how other potential implications of harmonization may impact your organization.

Callers will have an opportunity to clarify requirements and engage in Q&A with expert counsel. Some specific questions that will be addressed include:
  • What do we know at this stage?
  • Which industries are most impacted?
  • What are some of the things that we don't know at this stage?
  • Timelines?
  • What should you be doing now?
The briefing will be of special interest to executives and staff responsible for administering tax changes for your organization. Presentation materials will also be provided.
