Please view the draft program for the First Responder Vendor Outreach Forum. The Forum will take place on Sept. 28 - 29, 2010 at the Four Points by Sheraton in Halifax Nova Scotia and will offer two unique conference tracks running concurrently.

Michael E. Doucet, Chief Technology Officer of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will provide the opening day keynote. Also in attendance or representatives from organizations including: Halifax Regional Police, Cape Breton Regional Police, Truro Police, Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency Service, Cape Breton Regional Municipality Fire Services, Halifax Regional Municipality Emergency Management Organization, and the Canadian Forces. Chief Information Officer Sector (CIO) is responsible for the RCMP's Information Management and Information Technology (IM/IT) program including all information necessary to carry out the organization's mandate, as well as the systems used to access, communicate, record, share and manage this information. The CIO Sector employs more than 700 employees across the country.

As the CIO of the RCMP, Michael 's priorities include:
  • implement the new Police Reporting and Occurrence System (PROS)
  • provide secure communications channels through the National Radio Program
  • develop the National Integrated Interagency Information System (NIII) to support broader information sharing among all law enforcement partners
  • implement Real Time Identification (RTID) Project to completely re-engineer criminal
