The Honourable Glen Murray, Minister of Infrastructure and Minister of Transportation for the Government of Ontario, will speak about Ontario’s capabilities in a June 3rd Toronto meeting called “The Seven Habits of Highly Intelligent Communities.” The SUMMIT presents global best practices from communities that are competing in New York for the title of “Intelligent Community of the Year”. It is acknowledged that Intelligent Communities have higher employment, better wages, enhanced health care, and sustainable environments.
“Ontario’s communities have done very well in this competition,” said i-CANADA Chair Bill Hutchison. “Our movement is delighted that Minister Murray will be speaking about taking steps to do even better.”
Many i-CANADA delegates will head to New York from the SUMMIT later in the week to participate in the Intelligent Community Forum’s (ICF) New York competition. The winner will be announced on June 7th. I-CANADA is hosting a sold-out breakfast for ICF delegates on the day of the announcement.
