April 15, 2009

Please join us as our guest for this one-hour CATA TeleForum marking two events:  Earth Day and the launch of a new web portal designed to support the Canadian IT community as it looks for economic and ecological benefit from Green IT.

The GreenerIT.ca web site is being launched by CATAAlliance in conjunction with InformationWeek Canada, its sister publications CRN Canada and Canadian Government Executive, and social media pioneer IT in Canada.  As part of the launch, CATA is hosting a TeleForum for its members, underscoring the key engagement, savings and impact themes reflected in the GreenerIT.ca site content.

The CATA TeleForum Conference Call features a presentation by Michael O’NeilCanada’s most senior IT industry analyst, and the Chief Content Officer for the new site. Mr. O`Neil has facilitated numerous executive-level web meetings on Green IT, notably as moderator for Cisco Systems` Green Council, a global association of senior representatives from Cisco`s partner community.

Discussion and Q&A will illustrate the key issues that are central to building a green IT plan, and the ways in which IT buyers and suppliers alike can generate immediate financial benefits from a green IT strategy.  The TeleForum will then expand to a roundtable discussion including executives from some of the GreenerIT.ca sponsor organizations – which to date include APC, Apple, Cisco, Lexmark, Samsung, ServerTech, Targus, and Toshiba.
