Daniel Ramos appointed CATAAlliance Latin America Director


Ottawa, ON - Daniel Ramos has been appointed CATAAlliance Latin America Director (http://www.cata.ca).

In his function as Latin American Director he will be responsible for raising awareness and triggering interest about Latin American opportunities among the CATAAlliance community, and also developing strong ties with Latin America organizations in order to achieve CATA's mission of stimulating business growth through strategic partnerships. He is based in Rio de Janeiro where he will continue to develop his already broad business network with decision makers and partners in the region.

"Considering the potential demand from the emerging Latin American Economies, Canadian companies must not hesitate to pursue arising opportunities. We will prioritize our efforts based on market opportunities. This year, our main focus will be the Brazilian market, as we have already started discussions with counterpart association in order to strength ties between Canada and Brazil IT and Telecom Companies. I encourage CATAAlliance members to leverage our initiatives as the starting point to their business endeavors in Latin America", says Daniel Ramos.

Daniel's expertise stems from 11 years in marketing and business development in the IT and telecommunications industry. He is Founder and President of eXpancom Inc. Prior to eXpancom, focusing on the Small Business Market, he held marketing positions at Bell Canada. Previously, as Marketing Director, he lead the Latin American efforts of Harris Microwave Division, having conducted multiple market research projects in 15 Latin American countries. Daniel holds a MSc in Marketing from HEC, Montreal and a BSc in Management from Universidad de Costa Rica. Presently he is completing an MBA in International Trade at Fondação Getulio Vargas (FGV) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
