Re: CATA to select Diamond Jubilee Medal Nominees: Leadership & Role Models: Your consideration appreciated

Dear Community Executives

CATAAlliance has been selected by the Office of the Governor General of Canada, as one of the organizations privileged to decide on the awarding of a select number of Diamond Jubilee Medals.

We would appreciate your nomination(s) for consideration in the awarding of a special Medal, for a person who has made a significant contribution to Canada.

The Diamond Jubilee Medals are being minted in honour of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne.

CATA would appreciate your nomination by Canada Day (July 1st, 2012).

In selecting your nominee, the criteria are that a person must:

·         be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, but need not necessarily reside in Canada; and

·         have made a significant contribution to a particular province, territory, region or community within Canada, or an achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada,

When making your nomination, please include a brief summary of your candidate’s achievements (40 words or 250 characters). CATA will make a final selection based on the merits of the submissions, and will circulate the final nomination list. Please contact the undersigned to submit.

We hope you take advantage of this opportunity to submit the name of a colleague for consideration!

Yours sincerely,
John Reid, CATA CEO
