Brief Bio -- Suzanne Morin

Suzanne Morin is a bilingual legal executive with extensive expertise in regulatory affairs and public policy. She has worked her entire career in the communications industry, mostly for the Bell Canada group of companies, in a variety of roles with increasing levels of accountability and areas of responsibility.

After spending 18 exciting months as BlackBerry's first global privacy officer, Suzanne re-joined the Bell family in 2013 as General Counsel, Regulatory & Privacy Chief, to lead Bell Aliant's regulatory department through to the end of 2014.

Throughout Suzanne's 20+ year career, she has consistently demonstrated an ability to deliver exceptional results and, as a recognized professional, has a proven track record of securing favorable regulatory outcomes and influencing a broad spectrum of stakeholders.

Suzanne is an engaging communicator with the ability to build and nurture strategic alliances based on mutual trust and shared objectives. As a dynamic leader, she has demonstrated an ability to motivate strong performance in others through empowerment and by fostering a spirit of close collaboration and teamwork.

An active member of the community, Suzanne served on the government appointed board of the Standards Council of Canada for over a decade, and she currently serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors of MediaSmarts and Executive Member of the Canadian Bar Association National Privacy & Access Law Section.

She holds a Law degree from the University of Ottawa and was called to the Ontario bar in 1992.
