Please review the resume of Peter Bowie, former CEO and Senior Partner Deloitte China who is joining the CATA Team as an Executive in Residence and National spokesperson. Mr. Bowie’s immediate focus will be on Innovation Nation issues in the areas of international competitiveness and those actions needed to facilitate and encourage the international success of Canadian high tech enterprises.


About Peter Bowie

Peter Bowie was the CEO (2003-2008) and Senior Partner (2008-2010), and a Member of the Board and the Management Committee of Deloitte China prior to his retirement from the firm in 2010. Mr. Bowie joined Deloitte China in 2003 and served as the Chief Executive Officer responsible for leading the strategy and operations of the firm as the firm grew from 2,200 people to over 8,000 to become the 3rd largest member firm in Deloitte globally.

Previously, Mr. Bowie was Chairman of Deloitte Canada, a member of the firm’s Management Committee and also a member of the Board and Governance committees of Deloitte International.

Mr. Bowie led the delivery of services to a wide range of Deloitte clients, including high growth companies and large national and multinational organizations. He has experience in providing merger and acquisition, , financing and assurance services to clients.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Mr. Bowie worked in industry for two global companies in the semiconductor and telecom manufacturing industries and was also the CFO for an enterprise software company.

Mr. Bowie is a member of the Board of the Asian Corporate Governance Association and has served on a variety of Boards in both the private and NGO sectors.
