Advanced Security Companies--SR&ED Briefing
February 10, 2006

CATAAlliance has been active in advancing the business growth of Canada's advanced security industries. One of the challenges to the industry is the need for new and improved technologies for detection, analysis, control, etc. requiring ongoing research and development.

Canada's SR&ED tax credit program is one of the world's leading incentives that support such innovation. This program is continuing to evolve and it is important for you to understand how to effectively utilize it.

As part of CATA's program of assistance, CATA invites you to an update on the SR&ED program by Russ Roberts, Senior Director with CATA and the Deloitte SR&ED team. Russ has been one of the leaders in the development of this program, both from a policy and administrative perspective.

A significant number of changes have occurred in the program over the last year that may affect your claims. Our goal is for you and your colleagues to learn what you need to consider about when filing your claims
