AMITA Corporation is looking for a General Manager to manage its day-to-day operations with emphasis on sales and business development leadership.

General Manager

Reporting directly to the President, the General Manager will be responsible for achieving quarterly and yearly objectives with the management team based on the short and long term objectives identified by the President and Board of Directors of AMITA. The General Manager will lead the sales, business development and delivery managers to help achieve revenue and profit targets with a consistent high level of client satisfaction

What we’re looking for:
  • Previous general management and/or sales/business development leadership experience in an IT company providing IT solutions, consulting and integration services
  • Experience and focus in business development and sales including:
    • Managing 3 or more sales/business development account managers or senior staff, including achieving quotas and tracking/reporting on progress and take corrective action as required
    • Writing and leading proposals where the project value is over $2M and the project timeframe is 1-2 years
    • Understanding of Canadian Federal Government contracting processes including the establishment of standing offers in the IT sector
    • Negotiated and closed contracts from $500K to at least $2M
    • Proven track record in sales
  • Experience in public sector IT area, preferably with the Canadian Federal Government
  • Experience developing quarterly and yearly objectives and leading/monitoring and holding staff accountable to achieve these objectives
  • Preferred five years minimum experience managing senior IT staff and subordinate managers
  • University education or equivalent experience with approx.15 years of progressive experience in the IT sector in IT consulting and software development services
  • Government of Canada SECRET clearance must be obtainable if not yet granted
  • Bilingual or multi-lingual an asset
