CROWDFUNDING in the CANADIAN CONTEXT (February 12, 2013) : A CATA Partnered Event
February 3, 2013

Dear Community Executives

Exempt Market Dealers Association of Canada (EMDA), in partnership with the Canada’s Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA) and with the support of CATAAlliance invite you to attend CROWDFUNDING in the CANADIAN CONTEXT on February 12, 2013 at the National Club Main Dining Room 303 Bay Street, Toronto, ON.

Crowdfunding represents a new part of the capital-raising ecosystem and is being seriously considered by securities regulators in Canada, along with the other new capital raising prospectus exemptions. On December 14, 2012, the Ontario Securities Commission published its concept proposal titled OSC Staff Consultation Paper 45-710 – Considerations for New Capital Raising Prospectus Exemptions, which you can review
here.

To engage in a discussion on the key issues, and to help prepare responses to regulators, we have joined together to bring you this unique event.
