CATA CEO announces results from new CATA Quick Poll:

Canada's innovation gap will widen unless action is taken

Dear technology leaders,

I am pleased to announce that the results of the first CATA Quick Poll are ready to be shared. The poll focused on the impact of the rising dollar on Canadian businesses and whether they will need to off-shore their R&D to reduce cost.

These results provide interesting insight into how Canadian businesses will respond to today's economic challenges and how the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credits can be improved to assist them.

The results echo what Canada's tech leaders are saying, i.e that an improved SR&ED tax system, both administrative and legislative, is one of the crucial steps to making Canada an Innovation Nation.
