Networked Vehicles - CATA, NVF and partners re-invent the automotive sector!

Today's issue of Backbone Magazine, distributed with the Globe and Mail, features an article on the "last great untapped opportunity for ICT" -- the 600 million vehicles on the road today that have not yet been plugged into the global network. The Networked Vehicle Foundation (NVF) is an initiative of CATA; it's main participants are the Heads of Research from the biggest ICT companies in the world, which have a total market value well over $1-Trillion. The NVF recognizes that the automotive sector is at the beginning of a transition from an autonomous system to a fully integrated part of a highly connected network; the NVF does pre-competitive research on the technical and business opportunities available to organizations.
