Re: Business Opportunities, Market Research & Advocacy for Advanced Security & Public Safety Technologies, Services and System Integration

Dear Executives

This is an important Advisory regarding new business opportunities, market research and advocacy relating to Canada’s Advanced Security & Public Safety Sector. Also please take a minute for some CATAnet TV video perspectives.

CATA is working with the major agencies in Canada to evolve this sector as a lead innovation sector for Canada as part of the Innovation Nation program of creating flagship enterprises and thriving SMEs.

Initiative One: Public Safety Consultation Survey

A new Broadband for Public Safety Campaign is now underway to help foster the growth of the sector.  It involves major Security Agencies, Governments & Private Sector partners.

Initiative Two: First Responder Technology Roadmap (TRM)

CATAAlliance & its public & private sector partners are developing the First Responders TRM (Technology Roadmap) to provide a forward looking perspective for future needs for police, fire services, and emergency medical services, and a roadmap for developing and implementing those technologies.

Technology Road mapping is a planning process that is driven by the projected needs of tomorrow’s markets. It helps companies to identify, select and develop technology alternatives to satisfy future service, product, or operational needs.

Initiative Three: Technology Capability Assessment & Gap Analysis

CATA & its public & private sector partners are developing a Tri-services Technology Capability Assessment project for the Canadian Police Research Centre. This research will also help companies to identify, select and develop technologies and services to meet current and future operational needs.

The above is supported by various networking and business opportunity events in Canada and abroad, such as the VOF (Vendor Outlook Forum),  Advisory Groups, Teleforum Briefings with Experts, Supply Chain Opportunities, Market Research,  and product branding  to cultivate customers.
