Canadian entrepreneur, David Johnston, founder and CEO of Sales Resource Group Inc., has joined the CATA National Leadership Council

Ottawa, January 16, 2015 - The Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance) is pleased to announce that Canadian entrepreneur, David Johnston, founder and CEO of Sales Resource Group Inc., has joined the CATA National Leadership Council. 

In many respects, Mr. Johnston is a role model for others aspiring to create commercial successes,” says CATA President John Reid. “We are honoured he has turned to CATAAlliance to build his company’s relationships and brand, find partners, collaborate with other companies and advocate for improvement to Canada’s business climate."

Biographical Sketch – David H. Johnston

David Johnston is the founder and CEO of Sales Resource Group Inc., a leading consulting company with extensive experience in the design and development of sales compensation programs, training and surveys for organizations around North America and globally. David was also the founder and CEO of Surgesoft Inc. a software company that develops and supports clients in the area of Incentive Compensation Management (ICM).  David has a broad international consulting background and offers experience and a participative approach to consulting with clients.  He brings with him 25 years plus years of experience in working with organizations from diverse fields, such as broadcast media, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, information technology, retail, manufacturing, membership organizations and financial services.  He has held management positions at Ford Motor Company, The Bank of Nova Scotia, Price Waterhouse and Unisys Corporation.  He has managed multi-disciplinary teams in large-scale projects and is a sought-after speaker in the area of sales performance management and organization effectiveness.

In addition to his consulting and management background, David holds Masters Degrees in Clinical Psychology and Business Administration.  He teaches total compensation for WorldatWork and is a member of The Canadian Professional Sales Association.
