Packed with practical features, the newly-launched Tax & Finance Advocacy & Best Practices Portal is set to serve as an important gateway for executives seeking access to and sharing of information on all matters relating to the fiscal regime with a special focus on the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Program, a federal tax incentive program, administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
CATA’s Sr. VP of Advocacy, Tax & Finance, Russ Roberts, said, “The Portal offers much more than legislative briefings, and alerts; you can also post questions, flag issues for advocacy, seek guidance from experts and benefit from a library educational videos.”
Since its founding in 1977, CATAAlliance has served as a leading advocate for improvements to Canada's R&D tax credit system and as an educational resource to help companies better understand and take advantage of the program.
“CATA members are seeking a fiscal environment that better promotes the growth of Canadian investments in new and improved technologies to their full potential from the perspective of their firms and Canada,” noted CATA CEO, John Reid, adding, “CATA is proud to be the winning champion of the Innovation Nation and its core planks that will help lead us to number one in the globally interdependent economy.”
