The CATA Cyber Council is a collaboration between public and private sector leaders and organizations committed to driving definitive change in the cyber security industry while showcasing the innovation and expertise of our members to the global community.
The CATA Cyber Council is committed to driving progress and change in the Canadian cyber security industry. In January of 2015, the council began an almost two year process of discussion and debate with a cross-section of Canadian public and private sector leaders around the "current state" of cyber security in Canada and what were the key priorities for success for the industry, the government and most importantly, the safety of Canadians in the years to come.
In February of 2017, the council announced it's mandate focusing on (3) key areas of advancement:
- Driving economic prosperity for the Canadian economy through the advancement of the cyber security industry
- Address the growing and global labour & skills shortage in the cyber security industry
- Continue to advance advocacy and awareness for all Canadians
With each issue, we have identified areas of opportunity and growth. We are looking to work with groups and individuals who have the creativity, commitment and passion to lead/support the various opportunities.
