Aetonix in Profile
Aetonix is an Ontario-born virtual home care technology company with a mission is to address the increasing demands for caregiving solutions for home caregivers and for those in group facility settings, regardless of the geographical distance between caregiver and those they care for.
On April 3, 2017, Health Minister Eric Hoskins announced $500,000 in funding for the Arnprior Region & West Ottawa (AROW) and Upper Canada Health Links in support of a new health technology initiative for patients.
The AROW and UC Health Links are partnering with private and public organizations to deploy a telehealth technology developed by Aetonix known as aTouchAway.
aTouchAway is a communication platform specifically designed for seniors and others with complex care needs. It connects all of their healthcare providers and caregivers, including family members on one digital platform. Members of a patient’s circle of care can see, speak with, assess and support the patient directly through a tablet or smartphone application.
Using this innovation solution, the AROW and Upper Canada Health Links connect patients with more than 50 agencies including hospitals, primary care teams and community sector agencies.
Aetonix offers Ontario’s Health Links a unique solution that will contribute to a better patient outcome and experience, while improving efficiency.
