IT World Canada, CATAAlliance and SalesChoice launch central repository for everything A.I.

Toronto and Ottawa, ON (Dec. 12, 2017) A new directory designed to help Canadian players in the emerging artificial intelligence (A.I.) field find new opportunities more easily was launched in Toronto and Ottawa today.

IT World CanadaCATAAlliance and SalesChoice Inc. developed the new A.I .Directory after concluding more centralized access to the diverse segments of the A.I. community could help advance Canada’s global A.I. leadership.

“Artificial Intelligence is one of the fastest growing segments of the IT sector,” says IT World Canada President Fawn Annan. “New business models are evolving so quickly, it’s hard for organizations trying to commercialize their ideas to keep track of the IT community skills and expertise.”

The A.I. Directory provides stakeholders with an opportunity to profile their expertise, find influencers, discover partnership opportunities, share research, and gain insights into new business models. More than 600 organizations are already profiled and indexed in the A.I. Directory.

“One of the critical needs for scaling up a business is the discovery of partnerships that will allow you to advance rapidly, and in the right global ecosystems, says SalesChoice CEO Dr. Cindy Gordon. “The New A.I. Directory will help all Canadian organizations determine who is who across the private and public sector landscape.”

One piece of recent research suggests the annual global revenue for artificial intelligence products and services will grow from $643.7 million in 2016 to $36.8 billion by 2025, a 57-fold increase over that time period.

CATA CEO John Reid says the new A.I. Directory will help his organization in its role as advocacy champion.  “Working with the community, we cultivate Canada’s considerable strengths and eliminate every barrier to competitiveness to help Canada achieve a number one ranking as a Competitive Innovation Nation. AI disruptive technology leadership is front and centre to our mission.”
