Hiring Internationally-Trained ICT Professionals: New Employer’s Guides and Free Conference

Watch as CATAAlliance Chief Business Officer, Kevin Wennekes, interviews the Immigrant Services Society of BC’s (ISSofBC) Gwen Pawlikowski, Employment Counsellor, and Jim Tallman, Board Member, in a discussion on the recently released Employer’s Guide to Hiring Internationally-Trained ICT Professionals.

In this 15-minute briefing, viewers will learn about some key cultural workplace barriers facing new hires, especially from China, the Philippines, and Iran: countries on which the guide offers specific focus. Viewers will also hear more about the upcoming Recharge Your Career conference: a free, one-day conference for Internationally-Trained Professionals (ITPs) looking for rewarding work in engineering, architecture, life/environmental sciences and information/communications technology.
